Kate Smith

Kate is Business Manager and Town Planner at Compass Consulting Surveyors. She is responsible for strategic planning, financial direction and HR matters.

Kate completed her Town Planning qualification through UNE in 2023. Along with multifaceted administrative and financial management, Kate also oversees planning projects and legislative research. She assists with surveying fieldwork when necessary. Kate can translate complex information into clear English, helping clients understand the process required to achieve their development goals.

Kate is the part-time Executive Officer of the Country Surveyors Association of NSW, an industry association providing assistance, educational opportunities and government liaison to regional and rural surveyors. An animal lover, she enjoys meeting creatures while in the field – and sometimes has an office dog or two in residence.

Eric grew up on a farm at Yeoval, south of Dubbo. Eric has had a passion for surveying since 1989, when he completed work experience with local surveyor, Neil.

Pat Clarkstone is a Registered Land Surveyor with over 14 years of professional experience in cadastral, engineering and mining projects.

WORKPLACE HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY & PROCEDURES

We aim to achieve a level beyond our duty of care obligations by implementing and following strict Workplace Health and Safety policy. All employees of Compass Consulting Surveyors undergo the necessary induction training and risk assessments when working on sites under our control.

All members of the team have completed the National WHS General Construction Induction Training and hold nationally recognised White Cards.

SUSTAINABILITY IN PRACTISE

Compass Consulting Surveyors are endeavouring to implement a range of Sustainable Business Practises. These strategies of Sustainability must be both affordable and practical to realise and ensure that the Quality of Service always provided by Compass Consulting Surveyors is strictly maintained.
